West Dunbartonshire Council is looking for candidates who are enthusiastic and committed to supporting school improvement and providing high quality support to teaching staff, in line with key Council priorities or inclusion and raising the aspirations, achievements and attainment for all students.
This role provides the management and supervision required for the effective running of the school office. With direction and support from the Business Manager and SLT the post holder is responsible for the first line management of the office staff dealing with all employee relations matters as well as co-coordinating, allocating and directing all administrative duties required within the school. This post holder also liaises with external and internal partners on school related issues such as schools estates, health and safety, school lets etc. An administration related qualification or equivalent relevant experience in an administration and / or business environment is essential for this role. Requirements
This post is considered as Regulated Work with Children under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007 and as such membership with the PVG scheme is essential. Further details of this scheme can be found here.
Preferred applicants will be required to become members of the relevant PVG scheme, or undergo a PVG Scheme update check prior to a formal offer being made by West Dunbartonshire Council.
Responsibilities
