Software Engineer Burton on Trent Permanent Hybrid working arrangement An excellent opportunity for an experienced software engineer has arisen at a special purpose industrial equipment manufacturer. The successful Software Engineer will be specialising in the design and development of safety-critical electronic and control systems to assist the safer operation of specialist equipment and vehicles. Primary responsibilities will encompass the facilitation of new product design, comprehensive root cause analysis for potential malfunctions, and the refinement of the existing product portfolio Software Engineer - Responsibilities Design and develop embedded systems for safety-critical applications. Write, test, and debug code for machine control. Design modular code architecture for embedded systems. Participate in the design phase to define embedded system requirements. Integrate and interface hardware components (microcontrollers, sensors, PLCs, etc.). Create and understand schematics and design PCBs for system Integration. Software Engineer - Experience & Qualifications Degree qualification in maths, electronics, or software related subject. Proficient in C programming. Excellent understanding of microcontrollers microprocessor architecture. Previous experience engineering embedded software for safety critical applications. Understanding of hardware in mixed signal or analogue systems.
