An HCA opportunity has arisen to join a proactive and dynamic nurse led service in Pre-operative Assessment. The role is the first contact for elective patients on their surgical pathway. The role is essential to ensuing that the patient is optimized for surgery both physically and mentally.
You will be responsible for managing your own caseload to assist the registered nurses in ensuring fitness for all types of procedures. You will be responsible for obtaining, taking patients' vital signs (blood pressure, pulse oxygen saturation levels), performing ECGs, swabs and checking urine samples.
A flexible approach and the ability to work as part of a team. The successful candidate must be able to work and travel across a number of hospital sites.
The role is to assist and support the Pre-operative Assessment registered nurses in their assessment of patients prior to surgery.
