Role: Junior Designer Printed Textiles

Role Summary
As a Junior Textile Designer you will supporting the Textile designer and be responsible for key prints within the ranges, as well as driving trend and newness. You will also work in conjunction with garment designers and buyers to help build a cohesive and impactful range for the season.
Role Responsibilities
• Continually bring to the table trend and research influences that push the brand forward to provide injections of newness in and out of season.
• Use hand painting and drawing techniques to create exciting and innovative prints
• Artwork prints for production, screen split and in repeat.
• Communicating with suppliers to achieve correct strike offs for production, working with suppliers to use correct print mill and technique to achieve the best result.
• Liaise with buying team on approvals.
• Keep all print documentation up to date and physical artwork boards constantly updated.
• Comfortable presenting, deputise for the designer when needed.
• Support wider design team with research during design presentation, and key meetings.
Skills and Experience
• Degree or equivalent in Textile design
• Experience at Assistant/Junior Designer level
• Highly competent in photoshop and illustrator
• Highly competent in and drawing and painting
