You will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging lessons in Design and Technology, with a strong emphasis on Product Design, aligned with the national curriculum.
Key Responsibilities:
• Plan and deliver engaging lessons in Design and Technology, with a strong emphasis on Product Design, aligned with the national curriculum.
• Foster students’ creativity and technical skills through practical projects, encouraging them to explore materials, processes, and modern technologies.
• Prepare students for GCSE and A-Level Design and Technology exams, offering guidance and support throughout their learning journey.
• Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback to help them grow and develop their design skills.
• Contribute to the development of the Design and Technology department, including curriculum resources and project ideas.
• Create a positive, inclusive classroom environment that encourages innovation and collaboration.
• Engage in extracurricular activities related to Design and Technology, such as clubs or competitions, to further enrich student experiences.
About You:
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
• A degree in Design and Technology, Product Design, or a related field.
• Strong subject knowledge of Product Design and its practical applications in secondary education.
• Experience teaching Design and Technology at GCSE and A-Level is preferred.
• Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
• A passion for design, creativity, and a commitment to helping students achieve their potential.
• Willingness to contribute to the wider school community through extracurricular initiatives.
