Anopportunity has arisen for a temporary full time medical secretary withinObstetrics & Gynaecology based at Bishop Auckland Hospital.
Operating in a team the post holder willprovide an efficient and effective secretarial and administrative servicewithin Obstetrics & Gynaecology.
Itis essential that you have experience of audio typing and microsoftpackages. A flexible, pro-active teamplayer is required. You will also haveexcellent organisational and communication skills and be able to work underpressure and to deadlines.
Main duties of the job
Provides clerical support to Consultants,Specialist Nurses, admin teams, Admin Manager and Service Manager.
Liaises with other departments.
Deals with queries from patients, visitors andstaff.

This role will liaise with Admin Manager, ServiceManager, Medical Secretaries and a widerange of medical, nursing and allied health professional and admin staff withinthe Trust and outside agencies, and patients and relatives over the telephoneexternally, acting as a focal point of contact for all general enquiriesconcerning the work of the clinical team.
Liaise with GPs, patients, medical, nursing andsupport services within the Trust in a courteous and professional manner.
