The Council is embarking on an exciting and ambitious regeneration program, bringing new high-quality and affordable homes to our residents. To accelerate this vital work we're expanding our dynamic Acquisition Team. We are currently offering a 12 month fixed term opportunity, with the possibility of an extension.
In this fast-paced and rewarding role, you will:
* Negotiate the acquisition residential properties within our estate regeneration schemes and other decommissioning projects.
* Engage with a diverse range of stakeholders, including residents, landowners, and external agencies.
* Utilise your excellent communication and negotiation skills to achieve successful property acquisitions.
* Work independently and proactively to meet challenging targets and deadlines.
To succeed in this role, you will need:
* Previous experience in property acquisition or sales or a good understanding of the property ownership and the conveyancing process.
* A general understanding of compulsory purchase orders and associated compensation guidelines.
* Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, target-driven environment.
* Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and council systems such as Civica and LOCTA.
This is a fantastic and rewarding opportunity to develop your skill and experience in property acquisition and contribute to a vital project for the residents of Enfield.
Please note this is hybrid working role which will require you to work from our estate-based office at the Joyce and Snells Estate in Edmonton and the Civic Centre at least 3 days per week (this is subject to change depending on the needs of the business).
