Job Description
Blackfield Associates are partnered with an international biotech company, who due to ever-growing services, have a requirement for a Field Service Engineer to join the Field service team to cover the East Anglia region on a permanent basis.
As Field Service Engineer, you will:
1. Attend customer site to troubleshoot and repair any reported equipment faults, with response-time as defined within service agreements.
2. Complete all preventative maintenance work on Immunoassay analyser equipment or laboratory equipment.
3. Install any upgrades necessary to maintain instrument performance, safety, and reliability in accordance with defined deadlines.
4. Provide first level engineering support for installation and decommissioning of instruments.
5. Provide support for the interfacing of instruments to laboratory computer systems.
To be considered for the role of Field Service Engineer, you will have the following experience:
1. Experience working with Immunoassay / Molecular Diagnostic / biomedical equipment is essential.
2. Minimum of 2 years previous experience as a field-based service engineer in a clinical / medical / laboratory environment.
3. Demonstrable technical aptitude / ability for working with liquid handling / robotic laboratory equipment.
4. Experience with complex electro-mechanical equipment gained in a highly regulated industry would be considered.
5. Must hold a valid driving licence.
6. Located within East Anglia - either Norfolk, Suffolk, or Cambridgeshire locations with regional and potentially national travel.
