Main duties of the job
The Diagnostic Imaging Department at Dorset County Hospital is a cohesive, friendly and forward looking department. We pride ourselves on a supportive environment for all Diagnostic Imaging staff. The post will require participation in the provision of a 24/7 seven day a week imaging service.

Person Specification
EDUCATION, QUALIFICATIONS
* HCPC registration
* Post graduate training or extensive experience in a specialist field
EXPERIENCE
* Evidence of continuing professional development and interest in a speciality area
* Evidence of participation in clinical governance
* Experience of working in a multidisciplinary imaging team
* Experience of supervising junior staff and students
* Evidence of participation in departmental audit
SKILLS & COMPETENCIES
* Evidence of technical skills in general radiography
* Evidence of ability to communicate with patients, relatives and all levels of staff throughout the organisation
* Ability to supervise and train radiographers and students
* Understanding of clinical governance and how it relates to Diagnostic Imaging service
* Solid understanding of radiation legislation and how it impacts on our practice
* Ability to organise and manage the daily running of the general department and/or specialist area
* Ability to participate in CPD training sessions by delivering training
* Development of knowledge and skills in a specialty area
