Teamforce Labour is actively recruiting for an experienced HGV Class 1 Driver to work on a long-term infrastructure project based in Aylsham, Norfolk (NR11).
The successful candidate will be required to operate a step-frame vehicle and, when not driving the HGV, will support logistics operations by driving the Escort vehicle.
This is an excellent opportunity for a dependable and versatile driver to contribute to a well-organised, safety-first operation with potential for ongoing work up to 12 months.
Key Responsibilities
1. Driving a Class 1 HGV (step-frame trailer) to transport large plant and machinery
2. Safely loading, securing, and unloading heavy items in line with regulations
3. Operating the Escort vehicle when not assigned to the HGV
4. Adhering to all road traffic and site-specific safety regulations
5. Conducting daily vehicle checks and reporting defects
6. Completing relevant vehicle and journey documentation
7. Maintaining a professional approach to both site operations and client communications
Requirements
To be considered for this role, applicants must have the following:
1. Valid HGV Class 1 (Category C+E) Licence
2. Driver CPC (Certificate of Professional Competence) - In date
3. Digital Tacho Card
4. Experience operating step-frame trailers
5. Proven experience transporting large plant and machinery
6. Load & Secure certification or knowledge of securing heavy equipment
7. Flexibility to work weekends if required
Desirable Skills
1. Strong awareness of health & safety and working around plant equipment
2. Adaptability to switch between HGV and Escort vehicle duties
3. Reliable, punctual, and professional attitude on and off-site
