This permanent, full-time position has a starting salary of £32,512 per annum based on a 36 hour working week. We are excited to be hiring new Family Support Workers to join our fantastic Children with Disabilities Service. The team is countywide with offices based in Woking, Reigate and Weybridge. This role is open to hybrid working and as a team we split our time between working out in the community, from home and collaborating together in the office two days per week. Working closely with our colleagues in Education and Health, the Children with Disabilities Service aims to safeguard and promote the welfare and development of disabled children, whilst supporting them to be cared for by their families at home. The Review Team is made up of nine Family Support Workers, an Advanced Social Work Practitioner and Team Manager. We provide families with support to manage the care of children with severe and permanent disabilities. As a Family Support Worker you will work directly with children and their families to assess and review their needs on a six-monthly basis, identifying packages of support to assist them. You will be conducting home visits, reviewing care packages across a multidisciplinary network and presenting families' needs to request packages of support.
