We are investing in our capacity and capability to bring more work in-house, provide a holistic service to our scheme members, and achieve a net return on investment by reducing reliance on external suppliers.
We are recruiting a highly skilled Senior Business Analyst to play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our claims function. You will help define our Target Operating Model, enabling NHS Resolution to deliver greater impact, drive efficiencies and champion data-led decision-making. Therefore, you will support the development of a robust cost/benefits model and programme metrics by identifying, quantifying, tracking and evaluating both the quantitative and qualitative benefits of the Programme.
What you’ll be doing

* Engaging confidently with senior stakeholders and SMEs to shape and clarify business requirements aligned with the Programme and wider NHS Resolutions strategic goals
* Supporting the development of a robust cost/benefits model, metrics and MI frameworks to evidence the value delivered by CEP
* Supporting the tracking and evaluating of programme tangible and non-tangible benefits
* Facilitating workshops, articulating complex business and IT needs and translating these into functional specifications and delivery plans
* Managing and resolving conflicting information to achieve a consensus to ensure alignment across key delivery teams and external stakeholders
What we’re looking for
* We are looking for a driven, forward-thinking professional with:
* Extensive experience in business analysis within complex, high-impact programmes
* A strong grasp of benefits realisation, process improvement and stakeholder management
* Excellent communication and facilitation skills able to bring clarity to complexity
* Extensive experience of articulating business and IT needs and relaying them to various stakeholders to ensure a complete understanding of a deliverable, its capability and limitations
* Ability to work autonomously, including the ability to balance, organise and prioritise own workload.
* Practitioner-level BA certification is essential
* PRINCE2 Foundation or equivalent is desirable
* NHS/Health Authority and/or Insurance industry experience is desirable but not essential
Who we are
* We are an arm’s length body (ALB) of the Department of Health and Social Care (DHSC) that provides indemnity to the NHS for the risks involved in delivering healthcare services. We handle compensation claims, ensuring compensation is both fair and timely while combatting exaggeration or fraud. We also deliver expert advice and support on the management of concerns about the performance of doctors, dentists and pharmacists.
* Additionally, we resolve contracting disputes between primary care contractors and commissioners of primary care, operating independently and transparently to reduce the need for such disputes to be managed via the courts. Finally, we use our unique perspective across the causes of claims, performance concerns and contracting disputes to provide insights back to the NHS to help improve safety and manage risk.
