Salary and Benefits: £27,000 per annum, 26 days Annual Leave
Contract: Fixed term until 30th December 2025 with possibility of 1-year extensions
The Lead Female Youth Worker (LFYW) is directly responsible for overseeing our targeted work with girls and young women aged 9 to 19 years old across the Youth Programme. The LFYW will also be responsible for contributing towards the expansion and development of our existing programme of work in order to meet the evolving needs of girls and young women in the local community.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
1. To develop and deliver a targeted programme for girls and young women that includes single gender sessions and one-to-one casework.
2. To work closely with the Youth Programme Manager and Senior youth worker to deliver our open access Youth Programme, with an emphasis on making those sessions more accessible to girls and young women, providing additional support to individuals where necessary.
3. To work collaboratively with services across the organisation to promote the inclusion of girls and young women, identify individuals that would benefit from targeted support and to develop cross service projects that support the needs of girls and young women.
4. To promote the programme to referral partners and to reach out to marginalised groups of girls and young women.
