We are recruiting a Production Planning Manager for a full-time permanent position based in Egypt. The successful candidate will ensure that all Egyptian production runs on time, planning and controlling production from raw materials to dispatch within the agreed costs and quality standards. The post is based in Cairo.
Responsibilities
1. Manage the day-to-day compliance of the critical path with the supply base.
2. Price negotiations achieving targeted contribution KPIs.
3. Manage initial and repeat buy critical path ensuring on-time delivery of 95% and above.
4. Control on-time flow of fabric production, dying, printing, trims, and cut and sew production to ensure all materials are available according to critical path to achieve contracted delivery dates.
5. Ensure factory capacity is secured to achieve contracted delivery dates.
6. Control and manage backing of greige fabric and dyed fabric and trims to reduce repeat lead times.
7. Ensure vessels for sea freight or airfreight are arranged in a timely way to achieve contracted delivery dates.
8. Ensure quality inspections are conducted in line to prevent delays to shipments.
9. Improve processes and reporting to drive efficiencies in cost and time.
10. Explore and recommend new dying, printing, and manufacturing mills and factories aligned to our requirements as a business.
11. Explore and recommend new fabric bases, managing new fabric developments.
12. Lead weekly critical path meetings with the Commercial Director and suppliers.
13. Experienced in commercially approving strike offs and lab dips.
14. Clear communicator across the supply base and with the Commercial Director.
15. Problem solver, with the ability to resolve issues quickly before commercial impact is felt.
16. Experience in knitted fabrics, dying, printing, and production.

Requirements
Essential Criteria
1. Significant experience in the Clothing Industry.
2. Previous experience in clothing merchandising, including management of critical path.
3. Proficient in the use of MS Windows, in particular Word & Excel.
4. Previous staff supervisory experience.
5. Ability to work extended hours when required.
6. A good standard of written and spoken English.
Desirable Criteria
1. Experience in a variety of sewing operations.
2. Ability to speak Arabic.
