Job summary
Our passion is for delivering care services of the highest quality to our local communities. To help us achieve our ambitions we are seeking to recruit a friendly, conscientious and motivated Ward Clerk to join our inpatient team here at the Vale Community Hospital. The ward cares for 14 patients on the Specialist Stroke rehabilitation pathway and 6 patients with other rehabilitation and medical needs.
This is an interesting and challenging opportunity for someone with good communication, organisational and IT skills.
The post holder will be expected to communicate effectively and sensitively with all service users, carers, staff and external agency staff, promoting good working relationships and commit to maintaining confidentiality and quality of the service.
Main duties of the job
1. To provide reception support for the ward team. This will include answering the telephone, communicating effectively
2. To provide consistent and professional support to those that need to use the service (internal and external parties)
3. To provide administration support for the ward team, including booking transport, ordering of stores and maintaining patient records

4. Educated to GCSE level in Mathematics and English to Grade C or above
