Exciting opportunity to work in mental health services. Looking for an empathetic and enthusiastic individual with a passion for working in acute female inpatient services. This vital role involves interacting with the patients on a daily basis and helping them meet their daily needs.
In addition, the job entails being on the front line of monitoring patients’ mental state in order to report this to registered nursing colleagues.
Post is for full-time working, this requires working on a rota-based system with rotational nights and bank holidays also a requirement. Previous experience is desirable but not mandatory, as full induction to the service, complete with all mandatory training, will be given to the successful applicant. Once established in post, further opportunities for additional training and career progression can be offered. Main duties of the job
To work alongside the nursing team to support our patients through their reablement pathway, working alongside the MDT to support our patients to achieve an independent life. You will be supporting the nurses with reviewing patients' individualised care plans, working closely with the Social Inclusion Workers to better support our patients' needs.
Duties to include conducting observations, physical health checks and documentation, supporting patients with their ADL's including facilitating escorts off ward, completion of IROC using the recovery model, psycho education and life skills, preparing our patients with the essential skills so they can use these to live their lives comfortably in the community.
You will have the opportunity to have monthly managerial and clinical supervision, annual appraisals to identify the areas you wish to progress in to further your career.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities
To work within the policies, protocols and clinical procedures of Lincolnshire Partnership NHS Trust and to promote competent working practice within an integrated multi-disciplinary team.
To liaise with the nurses, and carry out assigned duties as a member of the multi-disciplinary mental health team.
To be prepared to work on own initiative as necessary and report to the Nurses.
Promote equality for all patients and understand their health needs.
Demonstrate an awareness of service user and carer perspectives on the provision of treatment and continuing care.
Participate regularly in clinical supervision sessions.
Liaise with representatives from associated voluntary and statutory organisations and facilitate good communication processes.
Attend in-service training and other study/refresher days to meet individual, statutory and service needs.
Participate in performance reviews.
To work with service users to promote independence, maximising daily living skills.
Assist in maintaining general and specific patient observations under the supervision of registered nursing staff.
Facilitate and participate in recreational and physical activities in the provision of health and social care to service users.
Demonstrate an understanding of the responsibilities in relation to patients’ property and valuables, respecting cultural values.
Always act in a manner as to promote and safeguard the interests and well-being of patients.
Actively promote a responsible caring attitude at all times, treating all patients with dignity and respect.

Person specification
Skills
* Skills related to Physical healthcare interventions such as urine analysis, phlebotomy, TPR and BP etc., recording findings and informing supervising nurse of results.
* Clear accurate clinical note keeping.
* De-escalation Skills.
* Planning and organisation skills.
* Venepuncture.
Experience
* Previous relevant experience working with people with mental health problems at a HCSW grade or equivalent within a health and social care setting.
* Voluntary or working capacity with mental health service or equivalent.
Qualifications
* Cavendish Care Certificate or willingness to work towards resourced by LPFT.
* NVQ Level 2 in Care or equivalent.
* NVQ level 3 in Promoting Independence or equivalent or working towards achievement.
* Certificate in Community Mental Health.
* ECDL.
