Maidstone and Tunbridge wells NHS Trust Audiology department is looking to recruit an Audiologist to join our Audiology Team. This includes hearing assessment and reassessment, performance of pure tone testing, impedance and speech audiometry testing, advising patients and referring clinicians on management plans based on information obtained, and providing audiological cover for ENT clinics.
To provide a comprehensive hearing aid service to patients referred to the department from internal and external groups of staff, along with many other clinical and administrative duties.
Main duties of the job
We have a vibrant team of Senior Audiologists, Clinical technicians, and Administration staff. We are looking for an enthusiastic, highly motivated clinician with extensive experience in adult patient testing and management.
Postgraduate clinical experience is preferable but not essential - newly qualified graduates or those returning to practice after a career break are welcome to apply.

Person Specification
Qualifications
* BTEC MPPM/BSc/MSc Audiology or equivalent.
* BAAT Part 1&2 or Certificate of Audiological Competency (CAC)
* State Registration (grand parenting clause applies)
* Evidence of CPD i.e., external training courses
* MSc Audiology
* Doctorate of Audiology
Experience
* Experience within an Audiology Service appropriate to grade.
* Experience of Adult Rehabilitation.
* Digital hearing aid fitting.
* Experience of Audit-based patient management system.
* Able to answer complex audiology questions.
* Dealing with complex audiology patients.
Skills
* The ability to demonstrate good organisational skills prioritising tasks for own workload and others.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate both verbally and in writing.
* Ability to prioritise and work to strict deadlines.
* The ability to work calmly and methodically when placed under pressure from a busy and varied workload.
* Able to lead technician and junior staff/audio admin team.

£29,970 to £36,483 a year per annum pro rata.
