Lets introduce you to Ryan :
Ryan is a lively, likeable young man who enjoys engaging with his staff. He has Autism Spectrum Disorder and a learning disability, requiring additional support with daily living. His team assists him with personal care, Positive Behaviour Support, and working towards his individual goals. Ryan enjoys activities such as going for walks, drives in his van, visiting parks, and playing games like Lego and jigsaws.
Ryan needs the people who support him to:
* Be resilient and calm
* Have a good sense of humour
* Be able to work to strict guidelines and procedures
* Take pride in delivering a high standard of care
* Be equally as happy supporting him outdoors or having a quiet day at home
He has a dedicated staff team supported by five personal assistants and a team facilitator on each shift. You need to be a keen team player who can effectively communicate with others. Experience is not necessary, but an understanding of Autism and experience supporting individuals with learning disabilities would be advantageous.
If you think you share the same interests and have the commitment, dedication, and desire to support Ryan to get the most out of life, please apply now. ENABLE Scotland needs you and your values to help create an equal society for every person with a learning disability.
