Our goal is to enable the analysis of any living thing, by anyone, anywhere We're looking for an IT Project Engineer to help drive technical excellence across multiple concurrent projects, with a particular focus on Microsoft Intune and device management. The details… In this role, you’ll work closely with the team manager and stakeholders to support end-users, manage escalations, and lead project-based tasks aligned with the IT roadmap. You’ll balance BAU responsibilities with hands-on involvement in the planning and execution of technical workstreams across regional and global projects. You will be providing outstanding support services to end-users as well as supporting the members of the team to ensure they are able to meet the SLAs of the service desk. You will be working closely with the team manager on continuously improving the level of service provided as well as planning and completing project-based tasks that are defined in the project’s roadmap. This is a fast-paced environment that requires a self-starter demeanour throughout. Key responsibilities: Deliver technical solutions across multiple IT projects, with a focus on device deployment and endpoint management via Intune. Own escalated issues from the service desk and see them through to resolution. Implement and support system upgrades, SaaS migrations and software rollouts as part of broader project initiatives. Conduct root cause analysis, documenting and sharing findings to support team learning and service improvement. Work alongside project managers to ensure delivery milestones are met and stakeholders are kept informed. Maintain up-to-date expertise in core technologies through self-driven learning and collaboration. What we're looking for… Proven experience delivering multiple IT projects in a hands-on capacity, particularly involving Microsoft Intune, device management, and software deployment at scale. Strong working knowledge of Windows and macOS operating systems. Scripting capability with PowerShell to support automation and repeatable tasks. Experience managing identity and authentication platforms. Skilled in systems analysis and diagnosing complex desktop and infrastructure issues. Experience administering Office 365 in a cloud-native environment. Solid understanding of network protocols including DNS, DHCP, and TCP/IP. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage technical and non-technical audiences. A proactive, organised, and self-motivated approach to balancing support and project delivery. Desirable: Office 365 certification. Experience supporting cloud-hosted SaaS platforms in a project context. Experience supporting Linux Knowledge of ITIL practices (ITIL Foundation desirable). Familiarity with ITSM platforms such as ServiceNow. Server administration experience including Azure AD, DNS, DHCP, Certificate Authority, and Radius. Previous experience mentoring junior team members or acting as a technical lead on project tasks.
