As a Design Assistant - Print & Pattern, you will have the chance to work closely with experienced designers, product development teams, and key stakeholders to bring innovative and commercially viable products to life, while also gaining exposure to a wide range of design processes and industry events. What you'll do
As a Design Assistant - Print & Pattern at Sainsbury's, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Senior Designer / C4 Designer in developing and delivering successful product ranges across the Sainsbury's Group. Your responsibilities will include:
1. Assisting in the creation of concept, colour, and trend boards.
2. Managing project briefs.
3. Ensuring timely delivery of design specifications to the Product Development team.
4. Maintaining design / artwork files.
5. Collaborating closely with designers and buyers.
6. Attending trade meetings and events.
7. Providing creative input with your excellent eye for colour and trends.
8. Mentoring graduate work placements.
9. Contributing to the strategic direction of the design department.
10. Helping ensure that PR & Marketing have the necessary assets to showcase each product range effectively.
Who you are
As a Design Assistant for Sainsbury's Print & Pattern team, you are a creative and detail-oriented individual with a passion for developing innovative and commercially successful product ranges. With your strong skills in Photoshop and Illustrator, coupled with your ability to formulate concept boards, manage project briefs, and ensure timely delivery of design specifications, you play a crucial role in supporting the Senior Designer in achieving design objectives. Your effective communication, collaborative approach, and keen eye for colour and trends enable you to contribute to the creative process, maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders, and ensure the seamless execution of design projects.
