An amazing opportunity has arisen for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a Construction Consultancy firm in Tunbridge Wells. We are looking for an ambitious and self-motivated person who will run small, medium, and large-scale projects both autonomously and as part of a team. You will work across a vast array of exciting projects within residential, commercial, aviation, healthcare, education, and rail!

Responsibilities of the Successful Senior Quantity Surveyor:
1. Establishing client's requirements and undertake initial cost planning exercises.
2. Carry out cost planning and value engineering to RIBA design stages and give informed client cost advice.
3. Have an understanding and developing an opinion on procurement strategies.
4. Prepare tender and contract documents, including BOQ's.
5. Carry out tender appraisals and identify a recommendation for the client.
6. Monitor and record costs of projects.
7. Identify risks to projects and assess cost variations.
8. Value completed works and arrange payments in accordance with the contract.
9. Be able to produce draft project or claim reports under the supervision of senior staff.
10. Issue notices in accordance with the contract under claim situation.
11. Liaise and confidently communicate with other members of the project or client team.
12. Maintain detailed variation and risk register information.
13. Able to prepare draft final accounts.
Requirements of the Successful Senior Quantity Surveyor:
1. Confident to attend, run and input into project meetings.
2. Gaining experience or understanding of the CVR process.
3. An understanding of ADR methods.
4. Thorough knowledge of construction techniques and principles.
5. Demonstrates an appetite for CPD.
6. Numerate.
7. Reliable and trustworthy.
8. Good IT skills.
9. Smart & presentable.
10. Confident.
11. Accuracy and attention to detail.
12. Good communicator.
13. Ability to follow work instructions.
14. Ability to work as part of a team.
15. Adaptable and flexible.
16. Willingness to work on a secondment role in a client's office or on site premises.
17. Car driver.
