As a Design Engineer, you will design and develop BEL Valves’ products in accordance with national and international design standards, in conjunction with BEL Valves’ and customer’s specifications.
What you’ll be doing
1. Design and develop BEL Valves products in accordance with design standards.
2. Review assigned requests and identify technical requirements for quotation packages and customer specifications.
3. Attend bid clarification meetings to agree on technical requirements.
4. Ensure that service levels meet the expectations of both internal and external customers.
5. Actively liaise with customer representatives on site visits.
6. Compile technical documents and information as required by requests for quotations and forward them to the sales department for inclusion in the bid.
7. Efficiently deal with customer enquiries, including the presentation of drawings, specifications, procedures, and manuals.
8. Ensure that all information required by operations is provided on time and to agreed standards, to ensure company deadlines are met in production.
9. Establish and provide project completion dates.
10. Provide regular information on work progress to the project team, and ensure that any issues and updates are communicated as and when required.
Who we’re looking for
You must have an awareness of the requirements of various standards such as ISO 9000 and industry standards as given by ASME, ANSI, API, and you should have experience of working in a similar role within a design team.

This position will be on a full-time, permanent basis on 35 hours per week.
