This company is arguably the most exciting insurer in the market right now. We are delighted to be partnering with this world-leading organisation, that as a result of impressive growth, is seeking a Senior Underwriter.
Our client operates in over 20 countries and is renowned as a world-leader within its chosen markets. The company arranges insurance for some of the most fascinating risks on the planet and has a reputation for excellence, innovation, and formidable customer service.
Not only does the company provide crucial financial protection to a diverse range of customers, but it also provides its employees with some of the most attractive career development opportunities in the market.
The role is based within the Renewals team, dealing with a wide variety of Social Welfare risks, thus a chance to be involved with some extremely interesting commercial insurance cases.
It is NOT essential that you have previous experience within Social Welfare / Care insurance as full training will be provided. However, you must have extensive underwriting experience encompassing Property and/or Liability.
We will consider applications from both current Senior Underwriters, as well as Commercial Underwriters who are looking to step up into a Senior Underwriter position.
Specific duties will include:
1. Underwriting renewal cases
2. Collaborating with the Claims team
3. Developing and maintaining excellent working relationships with the Technical department and the wider business
4. Providing a first-class service to brokers, prioritising renewals and mid-term adjustments to ensure deadlines are met
5. Getting involved in interesting ad hoc projects
“I really want to stress that this is NOT a ‘dead-end’ senior underwriting role,” says the Director. “We are extremely passionate about developing our staff, and this role has the genuine potential to progress into a number of different areas, such as General Management, Technical, Compliance, Sales, and more.”
Our client operates a hybrid-working arrangement, allowing you to work 2 days from home. The team is well-renowned in the industry for their friendly, supportive, and collaborative environment, and there are lots of sports and social events available, including an incredible annual summer ball!
You’ll be rewarded with a generous basic salary (Negotiable depending on experience), plus a highly lucrative 25% bonus scheme and impressive corporate benefits, which includes substantial pension contributions and financial bonuses for passing CII qualifications.
