Job summary
An opportunity has arisen for a motivated, reliable team player to join the Linen Services Team based at the John Radcliffe. The Linen Service provides a clean linen service to the John Radcliffe and Churchill sites and a clean uniform service across the entire Trust, and so requires a team player who is physically fit and has a competent level of maths and English communication skills (including reading and writing).You will need to be able to work on your own initiative, be able to prioritise and work under pressure, with good organisational skills and a positive and enthusiastic approach to work. In return, you can be part of a team who are committed to assisting with the delivery of clinical services by ensuring that the underpinning and essential support services provided by us are provided and maintained to the highest standard.
Main duties of the job
The Linen Services team are a close knit, friendly team of 13 staff who are committed to monitoring the use of linen on sites and ensuring that the delivery of clean linen to clinical areas meets the highest standards. Patient comfort and care is at the core of what we do and we strive to ensure that we are supporting the clinical teams in achieving this goal. All members of the team are encouraged to think actively about how services could be improved to be more efficient, reliable and patient centred, and you will have the opportunity to be part of this constantly evolving and expanding workforce in shaping future service provision.

Job responsibilities
1. To supervise the day to day general running of the Linen and Uniform Service and assist in implementing long term improvements to the service where required.
2. To supervise the Linen Assistants delivering clean linen across all sites, assisting with deliveries in person where staffing levels require.
3. To supervise the Sewing Assistants and oversee uniform distribution, assisting in person where staffing levels require
4. To maintain records and reports on all aspects of the linen and uniform services for performance management, quality control and health and safety as guided by the Deputy Linen Services Manager.
