We’re now looking for a Lead UX Researcher for a 1 year maternity cover to drive our understanding of user motivations and behaviours, and be a key advocate for user-centered decision making within the Product and Engineering department.
About the Role:
1. Oversee and deliver a user research strategy in line with company goals.
2. Plan, run and deliver research studies.
3. Shape the user research roadmap, working closely with senior stakeholders to define priorities and identify opportunities for high impact projects.
4. Collaborate closely with product and design leads to embed user insights throughout all phases of product development.
5. Manage the research team’s relationships with external vendors and annual budget.
6. Support the development of other researchers, demonstrating best practices and guiding their work.
7. Serve as the main point of contact for User Research to build confidence within the business.
8. Develop and apply user-centred frameworks across teams (e.g. Mindsets, Profiles).
About You:
1. Have a keen interest in news media and technology with awareness of current trends.
2. Extensive experience in user research, with demonstrated leadership in conducting and applying user research in-house.
3. Expert in a range of qualitative methods with experience doing research across global markets.
4. Strong track record of working closely with design, product and engineering teams.
5. Strong storytelling and presentation skills, capable of conveying complex insights to senior audiences.
6. Experience delivering training and facilitating workshops with a wide range of stakeholders.
