SOP EXPERT NEW INN, TORFAEN PERMANENT FULL TIME SALARY NEGOTIABLE DEPENDING ON EXPERIENCE Purpose of the Role: We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) Expert to join our team on a 3-month secondment. The primary objective of this role is to evaluate, revise, and implement SOPs to drive positive changes in efficiency, compliance, and operational effectiveness. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in ensuring that the organisation adheres to best practices and aligns with strategic goals whilst working closely with Production Managers and teams. Key Responsibilities: 1. SOP Assessment and Analysis • Review existing SOPs to identify gaps, inefficiencies, and areas for improvement. • Conduct stakeholder consultations to understand current challenges and operational needs. 2. SOP Development and Revision • Develop, revise, and standardize SOPs to align with organisational objectives and compliance requirements. • Ensure SOPs are clear, concise, and user-friendly, incorporating stakeholder feedback. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with operational workflows. 3. Change Management and Training • Lead initiatives to communicate and implement revised SOPs across relevant teams. • Develop training materials and conduct workshops to ensure smooth adoption of changes. • Provide guidance and support to team members during the transition period. 4. Monitoring and Continuous Improvement • Establish KPIs to measure the effectiveness of newly implemented SOPs. • Solicit feedback to identify further refinements and ensure continuous improvement. • Stay updated on industry best practices and regulatory changes to enhance SOP quality. Qualifications and Experience: • Proven experience in SOP development, implementation, and management. • Strong project management skills with the ability to drive initiatives within tight timelines. • Familiarity with industry regulations and compliance requirements relevant to the organisation. • Exceptional communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills. • Proficient in documentation tools and software. • Full training and guidance will be provided and you will have full support from the Head of H&S, the Interim Manufacturing Manager and all other Managers. Holidays 27 days – the site is open on bank holidays except for Christmas day Benefits • Annual “long service award” of 4% increase of the basic pay each year once you have been for over a year from the anniversary date.
