Our valued client base includes some of the UK’s foremost main contractors and developers, enabling us to work across different sectors, including Agriculture, Commercial, Education, Health, Industrial, Oil and Gas, and Retail.
Due to continued expansion, we are looking to recruit a CNC Programmer to be a key member of the team. Applicants should come from an Engineering background, with previous experience in CNC Programming and Setting.
Key Responsibilities
* Reading and interpreting technical and design drawings.
* Reading and altering CAD files.
* Using computer software to create cutting paths that best utilize machine group.
* Importing all dstv main members and fittings into various software packages.
* Ensuring dstv files are altered and compatible with each machine type.
* Saving altered dstv files and exporting them into folders for CNC operator.
* Routing materials to machine groups that can best create parts in nested bar.
* Allocation and nesting of materials where required through stock control software.
* Marking up fabrication drawings where required to advise the fabrication workshop of machine capabilities.
* Ensuring machine operators are not programming at machine level.
* Liaising with the drawing office for alterations or changes required for dstv files or drawings.
* Liaising with the IT team and software specialists for future development to ease production flow.
* Executing workload to Production Plan.
* Communicating Project Progress.
* Providing holiday cover for other roles.
