The Role:
Are you ready to whip up some delicious dishes? As a Commis Chef Apprentice with Sodexo, you’ll be right in the heart of the action, working closely with our talented Chefs. This is your chance to dive into all areas of our kitchen, learn the ropes, and discover which section makes your culinary heart sing!
Working with HIT Training you’ll undertake specialist master classes covering topics such as meat, fish, poultry, stocks, sauces, bread dough and patisserie to name a selection! You’ll also work one on one with your Vocational Trainer through your programme – so you’ll have lots of support during your journey’
What You’ll Do:
Get hands-on preparing your dishes to recipe specs set by your chefs so that our food’s great every time.
Keep things clean and sparkly in our kitchen – teamwork makes the dream work!
Manage food safety documentation like a pro.
Keep track of our inventory, checking stock levels to ensure we have everything we need – no missing ingredients on your watch!
Safely handle our awesome kitchen tools and equipment.
Be part of the delivery process, making sure all food and supplies come in safely and are stored perfectly.
Collaborate with our team to create fantastic, high-quality dishes that are always on time.
Share your creative input on menu ideas and elevate our culinary offerings!
Level up your skills and knowledge through hands-on training and experiences.

Ideally, you’ll have an entry Level 3 in Maths/English with the ability to work towards and pass Level 1 during the apprenticeship.
