Our client, a leading global supplier of ingredients to the Food and Beverage industry, is seeking an experienced Customer Support Coordinator for their office in Kent. The successful candidate must have a background in the Food or FMCG industry and extensive experience in ensuring customer requirements are satisfied throughout the Supply Chain process. The role involves providing excellent customer service to both existing and new customers, ensuring all orders placed are entered correctly and delivered within the specified lead time where possible, and aiding the flow of information between Supply Chain and internal/external customers.
Main duties and Key responsibilities will include:
1. Manage execution/administration of Sales Contract.
2. Comply with internal rules and operating policies.
3. Improve workflow to reduce human error and increase accuracy in contract administration.
4. Book transport to meet required delivery dates as per contractual terms.
5. Negotiate with logistical service providers to secure transportation at competitive prices.
6. Invoice orders aligned with Sales contract and Company compliance.
7. Prepare shipping documents, including export documentation.
8. Work with operations team to ensure orders are dispatched on time for customer requested delivery dates.
9. Record OTIF delivery information.
10. Act as point of contact for customers placing orders.
11. Process urgent order requests.
12. Manage stock holding.
13. Process sample orders and dispatch them.
14. Handle Customer MRPs when required.
15. Ensure records are correctly entered in the Access system and that Control reports align with shipping documents and final invoices.
16. Ensure that executions of contracts are aligned with company compliance.
Must be educated to a minimum of GCSE standard or Degree level, possess excellent communication skills, and have the ability to learn new CRM systems. An excellent level of numeracy is required. The ideal candidate should be a self-starter who can cope with a fast-moving environment while also being a team player. A background in Food or FMCG is essential.
