About the Role
Nottingham Catering is seeking an effective, dynamic and passionate Food Development Officer to join our award winning team to provide specialist support and drive improvements forward to develop our education and commercial catering services, Nottingham Catering takes pride in putting our children at the heart of what we do with school catering and in providing high quality food and beverage offers in our commercial cafes.
As a key player in our team, you will ensure our catering services continue to thrive and grow, adapting to the ever changing environment whilst maintaining excellent standards of service and ensuring the council delivers Best Value. The knowledge and expertise you bring to this role will help design menus and catering functions to meet the expectations of our customers.
About You
The ideal candidate will have:
* Experience of providing catering services with a diverse customer environment.
* Good standard of numeracy and literacy.
* Intermediate Food Hygiene Certificate essential.
* Detailed knowledge of current Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP) to ensure compliance of food hygiene regulation.
* Experience of developing, reviewing and improving processes and systems.
* Experience of working in a customer focussed service area and meeting the information needs of customers and colleagues.
This post is covered by the statutory duty under Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016) (English Language Requirement for public sector workers) and therefore the ability to speak fluent English, is an essential requirement for the role.
A DBS enhanced check for a regulated activity is required for this post.
