Complex Needs Teaching Assistant
Rate of Pay - Minimum of £83.85 Per Day
Hours - 8:30AM - 3:30PM
Area - Llandeilo & Surrounding Areas
We are currently seeking a Complex Needs Teaching Assistant to join our increasingly growing team of passionate educators working within a purpose-built specialist facility for pupils who have a diagnosis of ASD. The centre has a capacity for 35 pupils and provides specialist educational placements for children and young people between 11 and 19 years, all of whom are on the Autistic spectrum; some have severe or profound learning difficulties.

What will the role involve?
* Working alongside the classroom teacher to help with their learning plans for the pupils in the class in KS3 & KS4.
* Providing 1:1 support where needed.
* Managing challenging behaviour and providing de-escalation strategies.
* On-the-job training through the school, helping you better understand the school's aims and culture.
* Additional development opportunities through Teaching Personnel, including our Team Teach training, which is invaluable to furthering your development.
The ideal candidate:
* Ideally, you will have previous experience working with pupils with Autism, Complex Needs, PMLD & EBD.
* Experience with challenging behaviour & de-escalation.
* Someone who can demonstrate the necessary nurturing qualities required to work closely with SEN children.
* Be friendly, enthusiastic, adaptable, understandable, and reliable.
* Are not phased by challenging behaviour and emotional/physical outbursts.
* Teaching Assistant qualification is ideal but not essential.
TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE, YOU MUST:
* Be a driver with access to your own vehicle (Essential).
* Hold Right to Work in the UK with proof of documentation.
* Be registered (or willing to register) with the Education Workforce Council (EWC) & Disclose & Barring Service (DBS).
* Provide 24 months worth of references, including any related references you may have worked with children.
