We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Maths Lecturer to join our academic team in Newham. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced educator or someone with a passion for teaching mathematics to inspire and support students in achieving their academic goals. As a Maths Lecturer, you will deliver high-quality teaching and support to help students develop a solid understanding of mathematical principles.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lesson Planning & Delivery: Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and effective maths lessons across a range of levels, ensuring students develop a strong grasp of mathematical concepts.
* Assessment & Feedback: Design and administer assessments to monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback to help students improve and achieve their academic goals.
* Student Support: Offer additional support to students, providing guidance and encouragement to help them overcome academic challenges.
* Curriculum Development: Contribute to the ongoing development and enhancement of the maths curriculum to ensure it is relevant, up-to-date, and engaging for all learners.
* Classroom Management: Create an inclusive and positive classroom environment that promotes student participation and fosters a love for learning.
* Progress Monitoring: Track student progress and implement strategies to support students who require additional help, ensuring all learners meet their potential.
Qualifications and Experience Required:
* A degree in Mathematics or a closely related field (or equivalent professional experience).
* A relevant teaching qualification (or willingness to work towards one).
* Proven experience teaching mathematics in an educational setting, ideally at the Further Education level.
* Strong knowledge of the mathematics curriculum and assessment methods.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage and motivate students.

* Experience in teaching a wide range of maths topics across different age groups and abilities.
* Ability to use innovative teaching methods and technology to enhance the learning experience.
* Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.

* Experience working with students from diverse backgrounds and learning styles.
