Hart Reade LLP is seeking to recruit a full-time experienced Legal Secretary/Assistant to join our talented Property Department.
The successful candidate will play a crucial role supporting the Head of Commercial with a range of work, which will include all aspects of Company and Commercial work. Therefore, previous experience of working on either residential or commercial property transactions is essential.
Skills and experience required:
* Minimum 2 years legal secretarial experience, ideally gained within Commercial Property.
* Strong IT skills, particularly proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, and Excel).
* Accurate audio typing speeds.
* Ability to work under pressure and to deadlines.
* Excellent communication skills.
* Strong attention to detail.
* Ability to work effectively and efficiently as part of a team.
Joining our Team:
Candidates will be required to have good written and spoken English and the ability to communicate well with clients, colleagues, and other external contacts. Attention to detail is essential. We pride ourselves on the client care we provide; therefore, applicants should be experienced as above and confident and personable both on the telephone and face to face.
Experience of using a case management system would be an advantage but not essential as training will be provided. As part of this role, you will also be given access to and required to use online accounts (e.g., The Land Registry, anti-money laundering searches, etc.) as well as office equipment (scanning, copying, printing).

The role is based at our Eastbourne office but we may also require you to work at one of our branch offices. You must therefore be willing and able to travel between Eastbourne, Polegate, and Hailsham.
