Great news! We are hiring 2 Technical Support Engineers to each support a different team at our Congleton site. Please see below more details on what the role will entail within each team.
As a Technical Support Engineer for SINAMICS, you will advise and support our customers with inquiries about the functions, use, handling and commissioning of our drive systems.
1. You will process inquiries from our customers and Siemens regions worldwide, analyse their problems and develop solutions.
2. To do this, you will be in constant contact with our customers and ensure that the inquiries are solved promptly and that customer satisfaction remains high.
3. You will simulate the solutions developed on test systems and make adjustments as required.
4. In the case of more complex problems, you will work closely with our sales, product management and product development departments to jointly develop solutions.
5. With your technical knowledge, you will advise and support our support departments worldwide.
As a Technical Support Engineer within the Quality Management function, you will collaborate with our Customer Services, R&D, and Production teams to identify, analyse, and repair electrical and electronic issues, always ensuring customer satisfaction.
6. You will commission new products, develop applications, and understand industry drive requirements.
7. You will have the opportunity to conduct ISO 9001 audits, identify technical issues, and work with the Factory Quality Manager to agree on quality metrics.
8. You will continue learning, handle challenging situations, using tools including Q-Tools, FMEA, 4D, and 8D.
9. You will develop your ability to communicate effectively, produce engineering project plans, and embrace change in a team working environment.

What do I need to apply?
We are looking for forward-thinking, inquisitive candidates that demonstrate the following characteristics:
10. You approach problems with a logical mindset, are eager to learn and research, and enjoy finding creative solutions.
11. You enjoy collaborating with others to find innovative solutions
12. You can work independently, safely and responsibly; take ownership of challenges and ideas and are looking to develop your ability to drive and lead change
13. Someone who is genuinely interested in electronics, automation or manufacturing who wants to pursue a professional career in engineering.
14. Experience in producing electrical or electronic drawings using a Computer Aided Design (CAD) system.
15. Understanding of how to prepare and use lathes, milling and other general or specialist machines and High-Tech equipment.
16. Familiar with using computer software packages to assist with engineering activities.
17. Comfortable producing engineering project plans.
Minimum educational requirements:
You have achieved at least 5 GCSEs at Grade 4 or above, including Mathematics and English Language.
You have achieved or are on track to achieve three A-levels (grade C and above), a BTEC, or an equivalent level 3 qualification. At least one of your subjects must be in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics.
