Camphill School Aberdeen works to create communities in which children and adults with additional and complex needs can live, learn, and work with others in healthy social relationships based on mutual care and respect for each other as well as for the land. We follow organic and biodynamic gardening practices.
This is a rare and exciting opportunity to become the garden and garden workshop lead of the beautiful, busy 2-acre organic walled garden on the Murtle Estate of Camphill School Aberdeen. This role will allow you to provide many children and young people with structured, targeted, and meaningful experiences that will help develop their individual potential, mainly through the internally developed qualifications (STARS Awards). Additionally, you will maintain the organic growing environment and develop the biodynamic growing environment.
Murtle Garden produce is grown and processed by the children and young people and is mainly sold through our new public-facing social enterprise, Murtle Market.
We are looking for someone with a passion for gardening and leadership skills to lead a small gardening team to help reach the potential of the garden and the children and young people attending the garden.
