As integral members of our multi-professional team, Healthcare Assistants play a crucial role in supporting Registered Nurses to provide personalised palliative nursing care to patients and their loved ones within our hospice ward.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assist Registered Nurses in delivering individualised palliative nursing care to patients.
* Maintain the highest standards of care in accordance with statutory regulations and Hospice policies.
* Treat all patients with respect, courtesy, and dignity, while considering individual needs and cultural differences.
Requirements:
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
* Demonstrated compassion and empathy towards patients and their families.
* Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights and weekends.
* Own transportation is essential for commuting to and from the hospice.
Employment Details:
* Full-time and part-time positions available.
* Flexible scheduling, including Monday to Sunday shifts.
Some experience of delivering hands on care, preferably on a ward, in the community or care home setting would be an advantage, but we will provide full training so it is a great opportunity for a compassionate individual to learn something new.
Our ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills and an empathetic approach as well as experience of working in a team but confidence to work independently, and unsupervised.
