The Council’s Legal Service is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join its property team as a Legal Officer to primarily work on its Right to Buy caseload.
You will be required to conduct all legal work related to Right to Buy transactions from receipt of instructions to post completion. This will include drafting relevant documentation, deducing title, communicating with external solicitors, dealing with enquiries and completion and post completion matters. You will also be required to liaise with relevant client departments including Estates and Housing Management. You may also be required to assist in other residential property matters.
Among other qualities, you:
* must have recent experience of undertaking Right to Buy transactions.
* have undertaken or are undertaking a legal qualification.
* have demonstrable knowledge of property law and practice.
* are a flexible team member.
* can provide evidence of managing your own files, meeting deadlines and working on your own initiative.
