Due to the continual development & progression within our highly skilled podiatry department, we are excited to offer an amazing opportunity for two Band 6 podiatrists to join our friendly and dynamic team.
Our service provides the highest quality of care to our caseload of complex patients. You will be involved in assessment and planning of individual patient care, working independently and being part of our fabulous, dedicated team, therefore we are looking for excellent diagnostic and clinical skills, plus communication and team building skills are essential.
You would be mentored by dedicated professionals who will continually support and develop your skills, to deliver and promote the best care possible to our service users.

This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and well-organised individual to progress under the mentorship of a dedicated podiatry team.

Main duties of the job
To deliver podiatric interventions to a caseload of patients utilising both remote and face-to-face delivery.
1. To understand, support and comply with established clinical pathways and evidence-based care. To be prepared to work with management and other team members to improve and modify these pathways in line with Government and local initiatives and directives.
2. With Colleagues and service manager, plan, co-ordinate, deliver and evaluate the clinical needs of the service in relation to patient and stakeholder requirements.
3. To provide specialist clinical treatments / advice with the support of Service and Team Leads.
4. To provide clinical training to students, apprentices and other Podiatry colleagues.
5. Maintain accurate written records and statistics to ensure that service user details and details of the care given are recorded in notes and on the Trust database(s) in line with Trust policies.
6. Provide and receive complex and sensitive information from service users, carers or other professionals and agencies, on a daily basis.
7. To participate in Clinical Professional Development and other developmental activities.
8. To participate in regular supervision sessions with peers and identified others. To work positively with colleagues to maintain effective relationships.

Job responsibilities
1. To work as part of a team of Podiatrists within the Gloucestershire Podiatry Service, that consists of Podiatrists, Podiatry Assistants, Orthotic Laboratory Technicians and Administrative Staff.
2. To deliver podiatric interventions to a caseload of patients utilising both remote and face-to-face delivery.
3. To understand, support and comply with established clinical pathways and evidence-based care. To be prepared to work with management and other team members to improve and modify these pathways in line with government and local initiatives and directives.
4. To have postgraduate experience as a Podiatrist.
5. Accountable to Service Lead through a locality Team Lead.
6. With Colleagues and service manager, plan, co-ordinate, deliver and evaluate the clinical needs of the service in relation to patient and stakeholder requirements.
7. To provide specialist clinical treatments/advice with the support of Service and Team Leads.
8. To provide clinical training to students, apprentices and other Podiatry colleagues.
Person Specification
Qualifications
Essential
1. Recognised Diploma/Degree in Podiatric Medicine.
2. HCPC Registered Podiatrist.
3. Certificate in Local analgesia.
Experience
Essential
1. Ability to work effectively as a team member.
2. Evidence of competence and post qualifying experience within Podiatry and of managing a complex caseload.
3. Extensive experience of assessing, treating and managing patients' problems with rational and evidence-based treatment plans.
4. Experience in all aspects of Podiatry including MSK, core DOMS, wound care and nail surgery.
5. Evidence of ongoing relevant CPD and a commitment to life-long learning.
6. Evidence of working as an autonomous practitioner without direct supervision.
Desirable
1. Experience of collaboration working with other agencies including the voluntary sector.
