This is a global benchmark that recognises employers who create an outstanding employee experience. Role overview We are looking for a new Logistics Assistant to join our Suffolk site. This will be worked as 40 hours over 5 days per week, including weekends on a rota basis. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring that the service maintains the right level of both clinical and non-clinical stock by working closely with key members of the team. You will liaise with external suppliers to maintain good levels of stock as well as working with our central procurement team. You will undertake a variety of tasks including placing orders, stock rotation and regular stock takes, ensuring that the service is cost-effective. Working within small teams, you will maintain and enhance processes to maximise quality and efficiency. We have a strong relationship with the local ICB and trust and this role will be pivotal in that ongoing relationship. In addition, you will ensure that records are accurately maintained and that reusable stock is turned around in a timely manner. You will at times, support the wider administration of the business. What skills and experience do I need? Outstanding telephone manner with the ability to adapt approach to different situations. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Enjoys the routine and rhythm of a process driven environment. Comfortable making a significant contribution in a small team. Able to balance working independently with appropriate escalation. Committed to delivery of consistently high standards. Hold a full UK Driving Licence with Business Insurance on your vehicle. Flexibility to drive across two locations at short notice. Desirable Experience of Logistics/Stock Control in a healthcare services environment. An understanding of equipment and stock used in Ophthalmology.
