KS1 Intervention Support - Leeds
NextGen Teachers are proud to be recruiting on behalf of a Primary school in Leeds who are looking for a KS1 Intervention Support to start in the final half term before Christmas, on a full time basis. If you're passionate about supporting children in their learning and development, and looking to further your career as a Teaching Assistant, then this Intervention Support role may be for you.
KS1 Intervention Support roles and Responsibilities:
Assist with the planning of learning activities by identifying and preparing resources required to support lesson plans and learning outcomes.
Assisting pupils' achievements by monitoring, supporting and having strong communication with class teacher.
Lead individual/small groups of children in teacher-led learning activities such as guiding reading, phonics and math's interventions.
Be able to use knowledge of KS1 curriculum to identify children's misconceptions and use different techniques to help support their development and learning.
Maintain upkeep of classroom resources and preparation of materials (e.g. books, pencils, art supplies, games, P.E activity set up etc.)
Support children with their independence and confidence both inside and outside of the classroomKS1 Intervention Support Non-Negotiables:
Must have recent and relevant experience working with children and young people in an educational setting.
Must possess good numeracy and literacy skills in line with the National Curriculum.
Must have the ability to work well under the guidance of the class teacher and have good team player attributes.
Must have a passion for education and the welfare and safeguarding of children and young people.
