Description
Our Finishing Services Operators will be able to operate some or all of the following equipment: Cutters, Folders, and Saddle Stitchers. This role is responsible for the setup and running of a wide variety of jobs and will be nimble in moving from one piece of equipment to another as the workflow requires. Attention to detail and quality is required in our ability to WOW customers with our quality.

Duties and Responsibilities
1. Set up, operate, and troubleshoot some or all of the cutting, folding, and saddle stitching equipment.
2. Read and understand Job Tickets, Planning Sheets, and Layouts to prepare and run jobs.
3. Ensure and be accountable for the accuracy of product counts, quality, and meeting customer specifications.
4. Maintain a clean, neat, and safe workspace.
5. Other duties as assigned.
Required Knowledge and Experience
1. Excellent communication and writing skills are essential to appropriately interpret production instructions.
2. Interaction with customers and internal clients in a professional manner is a key component of the position.
3. Must be knowledgeable about the print industry, adhere to high-quality standards, have mature judgment, and strong organizational work habits.
4. Must have experience with either the Polar or Itoh Cutters, MBO folders, and/or Muller Martini Stitcher.
5. Must be able to read and measure with a ruler, add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Must have basic computer skills.
Preferred Education/Training and Systems
1. Experience with any of the following: Padding Systems, Shrinkwrappers, Drillers, banding, and scoring systems.
2. A High School diploma/GED along with the equivalent industry-related experience and training.
3. MIS Production system or similar production software.
