Job Description
Due to continued expansion and company growth, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Building Management System (BMS) Project Manager to oversee the planning, execution, and completion of BMS projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in project management, excellent technical knowledge of BMS, and the ability to lead cross-functional teams to deliver projects on time and within budget. This role reports directly to the Head of Projects.
Role Responsibilities
1. Project Planning: Develop detailed project plans, including scope, schedule, and budget, for BMS projects.
2. Team Leadership: Lead and manage project teams, including engineers, technicians, and subcontractors, to ensure successful project delivery.
3. Stakeholder Management: Communicate effectively with clients, stakeholders, and team members to ensure project requirements are understood and met.
4. Technical Oversight: Provide technical guidance and support for the design, installation, and commissioning of BMS systems.
5. Risk Management: Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure project success.
6. Quality Assurance: Ensure all project deliverables meet quality standards and comply with relevant regulations and codes.
7. Budget Management: Monitor project budgets and control costs to ensure projects are completed within financial constraints.
8. Reporting: Prepare and present regular project status reports to senior management and clients.
Skill / Experience
1. Experience within HVAC/BMS/Engineering projects environment.
2. Competent electrical knowledge and capable of understanding electrical drawings.
3. Competent HVAC and/or BMS knowledge, capable of understanding engineered systems to a high level.
4. SSSTS or SMSTS qualified or willing to undertake.
5. Ability to operate to a high level in a fast-paced environment potentially on multiple projects simultaneously.
6. Experienced with site/construction works and knowledge of relevant H&S standards.
7. Logical and methodical approach to problem solving using own initiative is a must.
8. Awareness of the industry, its technology and application.
9. Good written & communication skills including report writing.
10. Strong interpersonal / organisational skills.
11. The ability to handle pressure and meet deadlines.
12. Team player.
13. CSCS or equivalent held (or willing to undertake).
14. Awareness of BMS/DCIM and common communication protocols (Modbus, BACnet, TCP/IP).
15. Knowledge of IT systems, servers and communication networks.
