Job description
After training, your role could involve any or all of the following:
* Sales – liaising with customers, processing quotations and sales orders.
* General administration – if you have an interest or aptitude, you would receive training to assist the accounts function.
* Purchasing – reviewing stock re-order levels and processing purchase orders; Liaison with warehouse and processing receipt of goods.
* All aspects of general office tasks including answering telephone, dealing with customer enquiries, filing, and processing.
The ideal candidate should have the following experience, skills or aptitudes:
* Confident telephone manner important, with good oral/written communication skills.
* Flexible and a willing team player, with ability to work alone without supervision.
* Organised and methodical, with close attention to detail.
* Able to demonstrate a solid work ethic and manage a varied workload.
* Numerate and computer literate and proficient in Excel, Word and Outlook.
* Good time-keeper and reliable.
* Positive and mature attitude, with friendly and helpful personality.
* A willingness to learn new skills.
* Sage 50 Accounts experience very desirable, but training can be given.
Starting salary will be above minimum pay rates for your age group and will also depend on your experience. There will be a review after 3 months and, in addition to this basic salary, we pay a discretionary Performance Related Bonus twice a year.
Your annual Holiday allowance will commence at 20 days plus 8 paid bank holidays.
Office hours are 9.00am until 5.30pm, Monday to Friday with 1 hour for lunch and there is free parking on site. Alternatively, it is a 5 minute walk from Billingshurst station.
