HR Advisor
Reporting to the People Director.
Remote/hybrid – office based in Norwich City Centre, travel required to client sites on an as and when required basis.
Pay and hours:
Up to 24 hours per week 3 days a week (flexibility on hours available), with the potential to increase to 4 days in time.
Role purpose:
To offer advice, support, and documentation to line managers across various clients, applying a strong understanding of current and future employment law to each scenario. A varied and interesting role, working for a forward-thinking People Professional, as part of a team, and connected to a broader national network of over 200 HR professionals.
Nature and Scope:
The nature of the work also requires a high level of attention to detail.
A true generalist role, however, the employer is looking for an ER specialist, who loves unpicking and resolving ER scenarios with employers.
Responsibilities include:
1. Providing advice and guidance to managers regarding all areas of HR following Company policy and current legislation (with an eye on future updates and practically applying these as applicable).
2. Supporting managers in dealing with performance management, investigations, disciplinaries, grievances and absence management.
3. Ensuring probation periods are fully utilised, for all parties to determine if the role is the right fit for them.
4. As part of the team, working across projects, such as HR System implementations, restructures, growth strategies, acquisitions, training and development, culture change and more.
The applicant will:
1. Have previous experience working in an HR or ER or Case Management role, with strong knowledge and evidence of the application of HR practices and policies aligned to employment law.
2. Be able to make decisions and problem-solve.
3. Demonstrate the ability to escalate critical issues when needed.
4. Have strong computer skills across Microsoft Packages, with a high level of IT literacy and experience of utilising technology to streamline processes.
5. Exhibit excellent administration skills.
6. Be experienced in utilising HRIS to support business.
7. Be dependable, responsible, and operate with integrity.
8. Be human, friendly, and have the ambition to grow with the business.
