Principal Solution Architect (Secure Systems Team)
Location: Hybrid; with regular travel expected to client site or Logiq’s offices in Bristol, Chippenham.

The Role:
As a Principal Solution Architect, you will lead teams of specialists, take a leading technical role in complex projects, and offer deep specialist advice to clients. This role is ideal for experts that thrive on a varied and challenging technology landscape, with a particular passion for high-assurance solutions, and cyber security functions. The successful candidate will understand the challenges of delivering solutions that require modern, scalable on-premise components, secure boundary solutions and limited connectivity.
Key responsibilities include:
* Technical Leadership, driving coherent, compliant solutions in a multi-discipline team, complementing Logiq’s other capabilities.
* Vision and Roadmap development, translating client needs into tangible, realistic and deliverable technology programmes.
* Design Excellence, leading and assuring the creation of solution architecture, high level and low level design artefacts in collaboration with engineering experts.
* Specialist Advice, providing product agnostic knowledge, deep technical subject matter expertise in critical technologies such as Monitoring, Patching, Health and Performance, and Network Security.
* Client Relationship, building trusted and respected reputations with clients as a reliable and knowledgeable technical expert, offering credible and actionable recommendations and supporting other delivery functions to ensure the client achieves their vision.
Our principal solution architect role will provide you with the opportunity to grow your technical expertise and broaden your experience in delivery of transformative, complex, and impactful projects.
What we’re looking for:
Essential:
* Significant experience (5+ years) designing or delivering complex IT requirements or technology programmes.
* Championing the delivery ‘journey’ through technical roadmaps and architecture artefacts that generate credible and beneficial change.
* Strong understanding of IT security and design considerations of high-assurance systems.
* Practical skills deploying or configuring relevant IT components or enterprise IT solutions across all stages of an engineering lifecycle.
* Track record developing and assuring significant architecture and design artefacts and technical documentation as part of a delivery or transformation.
* Understanding of the requirements lifecycle and the need to manage trade-offs and incremental delivery.
* Knowledge of hosting technologies (virtualisation, containerisation, orchestration), with experience of industry leading products and vendors.
Desirable:
* Experience delivering into MOD, relevant governance and security policy, processes, and practices (inc Joint Service Publications 604, 440).
* Knowledge of and international security frameworks such as NIST SP 800 Series.
* Experience managing agile teams, DevOps engineering teams and CI/CD.
* Practical experience managing requirements, verification, validation and acceptance.
* Certifications in relevant technologies, products, methodologies or frameworks.
