Our client, a specialist heating services provider is seeking a skilled Commercial Gas Engineer to join their team on a permanent basis. About the Role As a Commercial Gas Engineer, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the high-quality service standards the company is known for. Operating across the North of England ( (Darlington, Middlesbrough, Newcastle, Carlisle, and surrounding areas) you will carry out service, maintenance, and breakdown work on commercial gas and solid fuel heating systems, ensuring all jobs are completed efficiently and to a high standard. Key Responsibilities Service, maintenance, and breakdown of commercial gas and solid fuel heating systems. Conduct planned and reactive maintenance as required. Undertake occasional installation work. Complete paperwork, including technical and situational reports. Participate in out-of-hours work, including overtime and 24-hour call-out rota. Ensure adherence to Health and Safety standards. Identify and report hazards or near-miss events. Undertake additional maintenance works within your remit. What We're Looking For To excel in this role, you'll need: A solid background in commercial gas and heating systems. Relevant commercial gas qualifications (e.g., CODNCO1, COCN1, ICPN1, CIGA1, CDGA1, TPCP1, TPCP1A, CCN1, CENWAT). Experience with domestic gas qualifications and appliances is desirable. Comprehensive technical skills and fault-finding experience. Knowledge of major manufacturers (e.g., Vaillant, Ideal, Worcester, Nu Way). Strong understanding of gas legislation and regulations. Good plumbing skills. Full UK driving license. A proactive approach to Health and Safety compliance. Additional desirable qualifications include LPG, OFTEC, Solar/Renewable certifications, COMCAT, and BMS/Controls knowledge. Why Join Us?
