What's in this for you? Natural progression would see you grow into the Site Director role; to be clear, that's also part of this remit – within two years you will be the Site Director. So, you'll bring your key learnings, experience, and leadership qualities to develop a strategy and take this business to the next level. What is your primary responsibility? To lead and manage the manufacturing and production operations within your specific remit; to put that in perspective, that equates to over two thirds of the whole site, with a headcount of around four hundred and fifty under your leadership. Some of the fixes, as is often the case, involve ‘the basics' – so you'll be comfortable operating tactically at ground level to implement and drive change. You'll also have the agility to slip out of the day-to-day tactical work and move into strategic mode. Outside of the typical operating metrics you're fully accustomed to, some additional measures for success in this position are: Development and support of business strategy Developing team capability, through coaching and mentoring Implementing and driving Lean Manufacturing methodologies What does the business do? They design, develop, and manufacture a number of commodities for some of the globes most recognisable brands. Who will you report to? You'll report directly to the Site Director, and you'll sit on the Senior Management Team for the site. What about you? You're a seasoned operations professional with a demonstrable track record of operational improvements. You're hungry for growth and feel you have the potential to progress. You have a background in Manufacturing/Engineering within complex, high volume, fast paced environments. You're able to operate strategically and tactically; you understand the difference between leadership and management and know when to wear each hat. You possess a natural coaching style. You're resilient, agile and understand the pressures of a demanding environment – whilst being able to remain calm, think clearly and be decisive. Next Steps?
