Who are we looking for to join our team?
We are looking for an experienced Contract Manager that has experience in the procurement and contracting duties associated within the electrical packages in a large-scale offshore wind project, namely the cables and offshore substation.
You need to be able to:
* Closely collaborate and co-operate with the relevant project stakeholders to lead and manage contract management activities for the package.
* Set out contracts that are fully compliant to support the business needs of the project and mitigate commercial risks to the project and drive appropriate supplier performance through effective key performance indicators.
* Manage claims and variations through ensuring all commercial and contractual aspects are considered during contract drafting and negotiations.
* Ensure that all defined business processes, contract management procedures and good practice are implemented and adhered to in the project.
What will the role entail?
Depending on the client's specific requirements, the role will typically include but not necessarily be limited to:
* Manage the development and execution phase of cables and offshore substation packages in cooperation with Package Manager and Engineering teams.
* Manage contract management and procurement related interfaces and activities.
* Continuous cooperation with other work streams, packages, and other departments.
* Monitor contract time schedules and delivery.
* Conduct relevant robust supplier negotiations in procurement, contract management and claims resolution.
* Pro-actively anticipate and avoid unexpected claims in Package's Contracts.
* Assess consequences of technical decisions by package team and define actions along development and execution of the package works.
* Managing claims and variations together with package managers, legal etc.
* Consider all commercial aspects during contract negotiations.
* Negotiate most economically advantageous deals with suppliers.
* Assess and monitor suppliers’ performance and financial standing.
* Execution of the contract and procurement processes.
* Conducting commercial evaluation of bids during procurement process.
* Create and maintain contract tracker to track contract obligations, payments.
* Manage payment applications with package manager.
* Track commodity and indexation prices for the package.
* Report progress and status of contracts to Procurement and Contract Management Lead.
What qualifications?
Do you fulfill the below qualifications:
* Relevant technical, legal, or commercial education at Master or Bachelor level.
* Proven experience in a similar role within the offshore wind industry with electrical EPCI package experience.
