Overview:
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Sales Executive to work for our client at their facility in the West Midlands. The role is an exciting opportunity within their Oil and Gas Sales Department, reporting to the Sales Manager.
The role will be heavily involved in the professional promotion and sale of the company's products across their Oil & Gas North Sea division. You will manage a portfolio of accounts and handle enquiries and calls from new customers.
Main Duties & Responsibilities:
1. Develop a good understanding of the full range of the company's products and services.
2. Manage a portfolio of accounts to hit and exceed specified targets.
3. Accurately take verbal enquiries.
4. Ensure swift and accurate turnaround from enquiry to quotation.
5. Chase quotations to win orders and ascertain reasons if the order isn’t placed.
6. Maintain regular contact with assigned customers via telephone and email, with the potential to develop new business.
7. Visit key customers with the external sales team if required.
8. Negotiate with customers, suppliers, and colleagues at all levels.
9. Input sales orders and subcontract work onto the computer system in a timely manner.
10. Resolve any queries or problems as speedily as possible.
11. Keep your line manager and colleagues aware of anything major in the pipeline.
12. Maintain accurate customer information using Salesforce.
13. Maintain stock levels in line with company guidelines and customer requirements.
14. Understand group products and offer solutions based on customer needs.
15. Follow training received when using work items.
16. Take reasonable care of your own and others’ health and safety.
17. Cooperate with your employer on health and safety matters.
18. Report any serious health and safety risks.
19. Support the company with environmental initiatives and compliance issues.
Minimum Qualifications:
Education: School GCSEs and/or apprenticeship.
Experience: Sales experience in Oil and Gas, particularly with Special Steels and Nickel-based alloys. Key account management with technical sales experience, particularly with releases and specifications. Previous SAP and Salesforce experience.

Physical Demands:
35 hours a week, exact timing to be agreed. You may often need to work extra hours, but there will be some flexibility on the exact working times. Your role will be mainly office-based, although you may need to travel to visit other companies or to attend training, meetings, and conferences.
