We are looking for a Clinical Nurse Specialist to join our nurse-led chemotherapy day unit, at Britain’s largest healthcare charity to help build a healthier nation. We understand that cancer care can be challenging field and you would be joining our friendly and supportive team who, work closely together to ensure a supportive culture is adhered to. As a Clinical Nurse Specialist for our chemotherapy day unit, you will be working in partnership with our consultants to ensure that we assess, plan and deliver a high standard of specialist care. Our Macmillan accredited unit is open from 8.30-6pm Monday-Friday administering chemotherapy, immunotherapy, supportive treatments to our haematology and oncology patients. The post holder would ideally have in-depth knowledge of Chemotherapy and Immunotherapy administration whilst also have expertise in being able to identify potential emergencies, work as part of a wider multi-disciplinary team to effectively manage patients during their treatment, including caring for patients who need an intervention following a triage call. We support consultants clinic Monday-Saturday, and the candidate will need to be aware that this role does include the occasional Saturday shift whilst also supporting the emergency triage line.
